If you're ever in or around Birmingham and just fancy a nice drink from somewhere, I've got the perfect top 5 places to try! Whether you enjoy an alcoholic beverage or just a tasty thirst quencher, check out my recommendations and I'm sure they will satisfy :)
#1 - Moo-Cha
A little stand inside Selfridges (on the same side as the food shop 'Eat') that offers over 200 different kinds of yummy bubble tea/coffee. If you've never tried this type of drink, you need to! You get to design your own typically middle-eastern drink.
First you choose your flavour from either a range of milky or fruity flavours. Then comes the tea- black/green/non/coffee? Next you decide if you would like your drink hot or cold and last but not least the bubbles! You can either have tapioca pearls, (squishy small black balls) popping bubbles, (the funniest!) or jellies!
These drinks can usually be found on menus of authentic Asian restaurants as they were invented in Taiwan in the 1980s.

** My fav combo is a milky honeydew melon black tea with tapioca pearls (cold) :) **
What's your favourite combo?

#2 - Poppy Red (Arcadian)
If you love chocolate and getting a little bit tipsy then Poppy Red is the place for you! They do the nicest cocktail that you will adore!! It's called a Chocolate Martini and contains Thortons Chocolate liqueur mixed with Absolut vodka and a tipple of milk! Yumm :) It's is by far their best cocktail on the menu.
£4.50 a glass, (but if you go on a Thursday or Friday it's 241- half price!!)
#3 - Missoula Bar (Arcadian)
**If you're in B'ham for the day, try this bar for a bite to eat with your drink, their food menu looks fab**
#4 - Cafe Blend
This little cafe is a cosy around the world tea and coffee experience. Fancy a coffee all the way from Australia? They got one! Fancy an exotic flavoured rooibos? They got that too! All of their drinks are sectioned off in to continents of the world on their menu so pick a place and explore the drinks they have for you!
** My fav has got to be a Turtle Mocha (in picture) --- Scrummy! **
This place has a really chilled atmosphere, they also have open mic nights sometimes which is always a treat. Check out their events page on their website at the bottom of the page!
#5 - Ed's Easy Diner
A perfect place to grab a bit of lunch or just one of their legendary milkshakes! There's just a shake bar right by the apple shop in the bullring or if you fancy some food check out their diner in the food hall in Selfridge's! (You can't beat an Oreo shake!)
Hope you've enjoyed reading about all my top places to grab a drink from in B'ham. Check one out if you haven't already! It could be the perfect opportunity for a catch up with someone special :) xx
