Dear Diary,

Haven't blogged in ages! I have good excuses why though! Trust me :)
I've been super busy with school (last term before summer!!) and also had a lot of this HLTA stuff to prepare, which, I've completed now - finally! Just my meeting with the assessor left to do D: and then I find out whether I've passed or not around September. Fingers crossed!
Also, to do with school, I went on the trip to France! And it was amazing :) I saw the Eiffel Tower, went to Disneyland Paris and tried snails and horse meat! Hehe, got some pics:

And now Archie and I are planning our 30-day-trip-around-Europe which I'm over the moon about! I seriously cannot wait! We've bought 'Interrail' train tickets and are just sorting out routes and stuff to do in each country. I wanna go now!!!

Well I think that's mainly it, quick update. Better finish it here as I'm currently addicted to Breaking Bad and need to watch the next episode... Tata! xx

Review #10 - Pundits (Upton-upon-Severn)

Ok, so, another outing with the boyfriend! This time, we ventured all the way (actually not that far away) to ... Upton upon Severn! We drove up for the day because there just so happened to be a folk festival on which was laverly! There were Morris dancers everywhere and random acts of violinists or singers or belly dancers! It was such a lively atmosphere and as we walked down the streets moseying at the flee markets and millions of antique shops in the town, we spotted which seemed to be quite an intriguing Banglideshi...

It's name was Pundits and when we rolled up at around 7pm it expectantly looked quite packed. :( To our surprise the accommodating and very friendly staff found us a table in their beautiful outside garden-like area. But, as always, I have to be awkward and wearing only a skimpy dress that day I began to get very chilly in the evening's cool breeze. We ordered drinks (wine and rice beer!! <-- how cool?) and asked whether we could possibly have another table inside. Now, considering how blooming busy they were I was shocked on how simply they promised us one with only a small wait. AND to top it off, came out a few minutes later with a blanket for me! How thoughtful. When we soon sat down to a warmer table we were accompanied by a table of about 15 ladies all in fancy dress, appearing to be from a drama company as they all started to sing! Some people would have hated this, I get it, but for me, this was brilliant! It really made my night for me! Great fun, haha.
Infact, I think I've got a tiny video...

Anywho, the food fusions they offered here were weirdly sooo tasty and they really had a good set up of this place. The staff were more than happy to help, the cooks knew what ingredients went together well and how to speedily cook a gorgeous curry, and the actual building was so quaint and cosey you felt just at home. Thank you for a lovely end to a day Pundits! Thanks for reading! xx

Review #9 - Gospoda Chata (Kraków)

The cheapest, yummiest, most traditional polish place in Kraków!!
As soon as you step into this place, it's as though you've landed in the middle of a snowy woods and found shelter at a local cabin! Fur rugs laden over the wooden benches and a big stone oven keeping you warm. We'd actually read about this place on Trip Adviser and after a kind lady directed us to it (as we admittedly got lost!) we finally experienced the legend that is Chata. I think we only paid about 100zl (£20) for four of us, with drinks and a pudding. I know... How cheap?!!

My 'vodka tea'!! ... Made me quite merry before food!
I think it was called a hunters brew or something similar. I imagined old polish hikers up a cold icy mountain sipping on a cuppa tea with a shot of vodka in to keep them going! Haha.

And this is what I ordered for my main dish. A chicken 'shish kebab' with fries, sauerkraut and beetroot. Fab! Not the most adventurous I'd been whilst in a foreign country but hey ho! It was delicious nonetheless. :)
I even had an apple pie for puds (sorry no picture!) and even though I was completely stuffed I still somehow managed to finish that off! Too nice to leave!

Me and my family were truly blessed with the food we had in Poland! I would highly recommend both Polish restaurants I've blogged about. It would be a real shame if you were to miss out on either! Thanks for reading! xx
