Review #9 - Gospoda Chata (Kraków)

The cheapest, yummiest, most traditional polish place in Kraków!!
As soon as you step into this place, it's as though you've landed in the middle of a snowy woods and found shelter at a local cabin! Fur rugs laden over the wooden benches and a big stone oven keeping you warm. We'd actually read about this place on Trip Adviser and after a kind lady directed us to it (as we admittedly got lost!) we finally experienced the legend that is Chata. I think we only paid about 100zl (£20) for four of us, with drinks and a pudding. I know... How cheap?!!

My 'vodka tea'!! ... Made me quite merry before food!
I think it was called a hunters brew or something similar. I imagined old polish hikers up a cold icy mountain sipping on a cuppa tea with a shot of vodka in to keep them going! Haha.

And this is what I ordered for my main dish. A chicken 'shish kebab' with fries, sauerkraut and beetroot. Fab! Not the most adventurous I'd been whilst in a foreign country but hey ho! It was delicious nonetheless. :)
I even had an apple pie for puds (sorry no picture!) and even though I was completely stuffed I still somehow managed to finish that off! Too nice to leave!

Me and my family were truly blessed with the food we had in Poland! I would highly recommend both Polish restaurants I've blogged about. It would be a real shame if you were to miss out on either! Thanks for reading! xx
